Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:3-4
“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
Gracious Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, Your Son. You have commissioned us, to be salt and light in the world, declaring Your truth and making disciples of all nations. Your Word says, “You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:13-14). You have also instructed us to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).
Tonight we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon the Church in Trinidad and Tobago. Empower us, Lord, to boldly proclaim the Gospel with clarity, love, and conviction. May Your Word go forth with transformative power, piercing hearts and leading many to salvation. As Paul wrote, “The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).
Lord, we lift up every believer in this nation who has answered the call to spread the Gospel. Grant us courage, wisdom, and discernment as we share Your truth in homes, workplaces, schools, and communities. Fill our hearts with compassion for the lost, just as You had compassion on the multitudes (Matthew 9:36). Let our words be “always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to answer everyone” (Colossians 4:6).
We pray for divine appointments and open doors to share the Gospel. Your Word says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” (Luke 10:2). Lead us to those who are broken, searching, and in need of hope. Open their hearts to receive the message of salvation, and remove any spiritual blindness or barriers that hinder belief. As Your servants sow seeds of truth, may Your Spirit water them, bringing forth a great harvest of souls for Your kingdom (John 4:35-38).
Lord, we intercede for those who feel unworthy, overlooked, or bound by sin. Let the Gospel bring liberation and transformation, for Your Word promises that You came to “proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners” (Isaiah 61:1). May the oppressed find healing, the hopeless find purpose, and the lost find salvation in You.
Father, we also pray for the unity of the Church as we work together to spread the Gospel. May we lay aside differences and join hands as one body, committed to advancing Your kingdom. Let the love we have for one another be a testament to the world of Your presence among us, as Jesus prayed, “By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35).
Equip every outreach effort with divine strategy and resources, whether through street evangelism, radio and television, social media, or acts of service. Let the Gospel penetrate every corner of Trinidad and Tobago, reaching those in remote areas, urban centers, and places of influence. Strengthen mission teams and ministries as they work tirelessly to share the Good News.
We pray for a revival of evangelism among young people, raising up a generation passionate about declaring Your truth. Stir their hearts with boldness and creativity to reach their peers and lead them to Christ, as Paul instructed Timothy: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).
Lord, we ask that the fruits of evangelism bring lasting change in our nation. Let those who receive Your Word be effectively discipled, grow in faith, and become witnesses themselves, multiplying the impact of the Gospel.
We give You all the glory, trusting in Your promise: “So shall My Word be that goes out from My mouth: it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11). Thank You for the privilege of partnering with You in the work of salvation.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.
In closing
Father, we thank you for the assurance in 1 John 5: 14-15 which says we are certain that God will hear our prayers when we ask for what pleases him. And if we know that God listens when we pray, we are sure that our prayers have already been answered. In Jesus name, Amen and Amen
