Theme and Prophetic Direction for 2025

Stepping Out in alignment with God’s heart, mind, will, ways, word, purpose and wisdom for a transformative 2025

What is God’s prophetic direction for each member of Shammah in 2025?

  • You are being Called to Be aligned with what God says about you`(identity)

  • You are Loved by God (His beloved child)

Scripture: Romans 8:38-39 (NIV): “For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Truth: God’s love for you is unconditional, unending, and inseparable from your life, regardless of your circumstances. You must believe this in 2025. It is easy to forget this when you lose your peace and joy and focus on the negative narrative in your head.

An example of when we can easily forget God’s unchanging love is during financial struggles.

  • You are free in Christ (Freedom: Free from sin, fear, condemnation)

Scripture: Galatians 5:1 (NIV): “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

  • Truth: Through Christ, you are free from sin and bondage, living in the liberty of His grace. In times of warfare, when the accusing thoughts of Satan begin to bombard your mind, you have to know what to do. By now, we all know that we fight back with the Word we believe. But in 2025, if we make a misstep and sin, know this about Jesus

  • Scripture: “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” (1 John 2:1)

Jesus’ role as an Advocate is a vital aspect of His ministry of love for you and me, reflecting His ongoing intercession with believers. The term “advocate” is rooted in the Greek word paraklētos, meaning one who comes alongside to help, defend, or plead on behalf of another. Jesus does these things for us:

1. Intercedes on Our Behalf Before God

2. Defends Us Against Accusation

3. Helps Us Stand Firm in Trials

Practical Implication:

When challenges cause us to stumble or face accusations, Jesus reminds us that we are no longer condemned because He has paid the price for our sins. His advocacy is not a one-time event but a continuous ministry of love, grace, and mercy. As believers, we can approach God confidently, knowing that Jesus is at the Father’s right hand, faithfully interceding for us.

This truth encourages us to live boldly, resist condemnation, and remain steadfast in faith, trusting in the perfect advocacy of Jesus Christ.

  1. You are being Called to Be Aligned with God’s Purpose for us (What you do)

  • You are to act in your role as an ambassador for Christ

Scripture:  2 Corinthians 5:20 (NIV): “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.”

Truth: God has called you to represent Christ and share His message with the world. In 2025 He is calling this ministry to be His voice on the social media platforms, Individually, we are to be His voice in the workplace, family, community, and the nation.

You Are to be Light in your World

Scripture: Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV): “You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Truth: You are called to reflect God’s light by what you say and do and bring hope to those around you. You will, therefore,be accountable to God for what you say and do. Be vigilant to guide your thoughts, attitude and witness for Jesus. Satan will try to sully your witness.

  • You are to see and seize opportunities to do the will of God In every situation.

Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-17 (NIV): “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand the Lord’s will.”

Truth: You are called to remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit, ensuring that you are fully prepared to say or do exactly what God requires of you when opportunities arise.

3. You are being called to stay connected to Jesus (rooted and grounded)  and be fruitful

Scripture: John 15:5 (NIV):

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.”

Truth This verse underscores the necessity of abiding in Christ for spiritual alignment and fruitfulness.

Proverbs 10:25 NLT. When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.

Truth: Even among Christians, Only those firmly grounded in Christ will withstand the storms already upon us and those yet to come. These will remain steadfast and unshaken. Such believers will face these challenges not with fear, nor by blaming the enemy or God but from a place of confident assurance that they have been divinely equipped to emerge victorious. They do not lose their peace or joy amid the trials but boldly declare, “It is finished.” or “It is written; the victory has already been secured for me as the beloved of God.”

As we go forward in 2025

  •  Your perspective continues to be important. You must choose to see things from your perspective, the enemy’s or God’s. Making the correct choice helps you embrace the right opportunities.

  • Your Heart Condition matters

  • Have A heart that trusts God

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV):
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

This scripture emphasises trusting God, submitting to His will, and allowing Him to guide and align our lives with His divine purposes, which leads to transformation and clarity in our journey.

  • Cultivate a heart that is consistently obedient to God.

A heart that is obedient to God actively seeks His will and makes every effort to align every aspect of life with His Word and guidance. It is a heart fully surrendered to God’s authority, walking in humility and reverence for Him.

This kind of heart is characterised by the following:

Love for God

Obedience flows from a deep love and devotion to God. Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). A heart that loves God prioritises Him above all else, making obedience a joyful response rather than a burdensome duty.

Willingness to Listen

A heart obedient to God listens intently to His voice, seeking to discern His will through prayer, Scripture, and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. As Samuel said, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:10).

Submission to His Authority

Obedience requires a willingness to submit to God’s plans, even when they challenge personal desires or comfort. Jesus exemplified this when He prayed, “Not my will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42).

Faith in Action

A heart obedient to God does not merely hear His Word but acts on it. As James reminds us, “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22). Obedience is evident in daily choices, attitudes, and actions that honour God.

Trust in God’s Goodness

Obedience requires trusting that God’s commands are for our ultimate good, even when we don’t fully understand them. A heart that trusts God is quick to obey because it believes in His love and faithfulness.

Repentance and Correction

An obedient heart is sensitive to sin and quick to repent when it falls short. It seeks God’s forgiveness and the grace to return to the path of righteousness, recognising that obedience is a journey of continual growth.

Consistency and Perseverance

Obedience to God is not occasional or conditional but consistent and steadfast. A heart devoted to Him obeys in moments of blessing and trials, holding firmly to His promises and commands.

Are you conscious of the Blessings of an Obedient Heart

A heart obedient to God experiences His peace, favour, and guidance. It becomes a vessel through which His love and power flow, impacting others and advancing His kingdom. As Scripture assures, “Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to Him” (Psalm 128:1).

Cultivating an Obedient Heart: The “Stop-Doing” List

Developing a truly obedient heart begins with a deep desire to obey God and grows through intentional cultivation. To achieve this, it’s essential to eliminate behaviours that hinder obedience. Here are things you must stop doing:

  1. Stop Ignoring the Holy Spirit’s Promptings
When the Holy Spirit nudges you to act or to refrain from something, heed His voice promptly. The nudge may be slight, and you may override it with your thoughts and reasoning and act upon it at your convenience or not at all. John 14:26 – “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

  1. Stop Leaning on Your Own Understanding
Trust God’s wisdom over your desires or reasoning, even when uncomfortable or inconvenient.Isaiah 55:8-9 – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.”; Prov 3:5-6

  2. Stop Procrastinating on Divine Instructions
Act promptly when the Holy Spirit provides a specific timing. Delayed obedience is disobedience. James 4:17 – “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”

  1. Stop Choosing Comfort Over Prayer
When God stirs your spirit to rise and seek Him, respond without hesitation or excuse. Mark 14:38 – “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

  1. Stop Being Inflexible with Your Routine
Be open to divine interruptions or adjustments in your plans to align with God’s purposes. Proverbs 16:9 – “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”

  1. Stop Stealing God’s Time
Prioritise His agenda over personal activities that may seem urgent but are not aligned with His will. Ephesians 5:15-16 – “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”
Psalm 90:12 – “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”

  1. Stop Making Excuses for Disobedience
Take responsibility for not following God’s instructions rather than justifying or rationalising your actions. Luke 14:18-20 – The Parable of the Great Banquet, where those invited make excuses for not attending.
Exodus 4:10-13 – Moses’ excuses for not obeying God’s call.

  1. Stop Trying to Look Good Despite Disobedience
Resist the temptation to cover up your mistakes or make it appear you obeyed when you didn’t. 1 Samuel 15:13-14 – Saul’s attempt to justify his disobedience to God.

  2. Stop Manipulating Situations to Suit Your Will
Surrender your desires and plans, trusting God’s way as superior and perfect. Proverbs 16:9 – “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”

Psalm 37:5 – “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”

  1. Stop Resisting God’s Refining Work
Embrace His correction and guidance, even when it challenges your habits, preferences, ego or comfort zones. Hebrews 12:11 – “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”

Proverbs 3:11-12 – “My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.”

  1. Stop Dismissing Small Acts of Obedience
Recognise that even seemingly minor instructions from God are significant in His plan.
Zechariah 4:10 – “Do not despise the day of small things.”
Luke 16:10 – “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.”

By identifying and eliminating these behaviours, you pave the way for a heart fully yielded to God, ready to walk in complete obedience and alignment with His will.
